Segovia, castle spire photograph Lamb in restaurant window, photo Segovia is a beautiful city containing a Roman aqueduct, fairy-tale castle, magnificent cathedral and a backdrop of snow-covered (in winter) mountains. It is an easy hour plus bus ride from Madrid and a great day trip. Climb the castle tower for a fantastic view of the city and countryside. Grab a bite at the historic restaurant, Cándido, at the base of the aqueduct.
